We are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join our expert marine team in London. This is your opportunity to lead high-profile projects, influence strategic decisions, and drive the success of our marine engineering team.

What You’ll Do:

As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will take charge of groundbreaking marine projects, ensuring their successful delivery from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

Project Leadership: Lead marine infrastructure projects from tender through to detailed design, overseeing technical and commercial aspects.

Client – Focused: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction through clear communication and high-quality project delivery.

Business Development:  Collaborate with directors, to secure new business opportunities and cultivate long-term client relationships, contributing to the growth of our marine engineering division.

Technical Excellence: Provide expert technical leadership and make key decisions in the design and assessment of marine structures, such as jetties, quays, wharves and cofferdams.

What You Bring:
 
We are looking for a driven and highly skilled engineer who can take a leadership role in a dynamic team.
 

Qualifications: BEng/MEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering, with professional certification (Chartered Engineer status).

Marine Expertise: Extensive experience in the design and assessment of marine structures, with a solid understanding of the unique challenges of working in marine environments.

Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading marine projects in the UK, with experience in managing all phases of the project lifecycle.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with CDM regulations and Quality Management Systems.

Geotechnical Understanding: A solid grasp of geotechnical principles applying to marine infrastructure.

Decisive Leadership: A proven ability to make sound engineering decisions quickly, while leading and mentoring a team to deliver high-quality results.

Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background in civil engineering with a proactive approach to project responsibility.

Client-Oriented: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage client relationships and ensure satisfaction.

Leadership: Strong project management and team leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor junior engineers.

Communication & Collaboration: Strong project leadership skills and the ability to inspire teams to deliver excellence.
